Our Policy

The Blossom Nursery Policy.

  • We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the nursery through open, fair and clearly communicated channels.
  • Staff will ensure that a warm, caring relationship is built with children and their carers.
  • We believe that children flourish best when they know how they are expected to behave and should be free to play and learn without fear of being hurt or unfairly restricted by anyone else.
  • We welcome suggestions on how to improve our Nursery and will give prompt and serious attention to any concerns about the running of the Nursery.
  • All children are assessed individually and their personal needs are catered for.
  • It is our intention to respect the privacy of children and their parents and carers, while ensuring that they access high quality Nursery care and education.
  • Systems are in place to ensure that children cannot leave the premises without an authorised adult and that children are properly cared for in the event of a delay to their collection at the end of a session.
  • The adult to child ratio is monitored closely in the nursery to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times. We do NOT include students in our adult to child ratios.
  • Our nursery is committed to providing equal opportunities to all children and their families, regardless of their background. We have a zero tolerance policy on any form of discrimination, racial, religious, gender or otherwise.
  • All equipment complies with Government standards of health and safety and is appropriate to the ages of the children.
  • A high standard of hygiene is maintained at all times.
  • All accidents are recorded and parents informed.
  • Staff do not discriminate against any child or parents on the grounds of race, culture, gender, disability, or lifestyle.
  • All parents and carers are welcome to read a copy of our policy and procedures. The folder is available to view at any time, so please ask a member of staff if you require assistance with this.
  • We see every parent and child as a key stakeholder in our business. Your comments and views are always welcome and reviewed by our management to continually help improve our nursery.
